CONTEMPORARY DANCE PLATFORM
MAY 2015 |
Under the theme of ‘Life’, this Platform saw Amrita’s returning choreographers taking completely new approaches in creating their work. Following workshops around dramaturgy and music choice, these pieces see our artists push boundaries in incorporating sound, video-projection and props to enhance their performances.
We would like to thank the Asian Cultural Council whose continued support enabled these workshops and regional connections to take place.

Choreographer
Khon Chan Sithyka
Dancers:
Khon Chan Sithyka, Khon Chansina, Soy Chanborey
Note from choreographer: This work touches on journey in life. We usually encounter obstacles and challenges. Nothing is certain. Everything changes. The end of a problem can be the beginning of another. Some problems even repeat multiple times.

Choreographer
Yon Davy
Dancers: Yon Davy
and Yon Chantha
Note from choreographer:
People behave different behaviours and ways of speaking. We see and hear them through their images and sound. One cannot see what is the feeling or thinking inside someone else. But if the inside is expressed, what would we see?
