CONTEMPORARY DANCE PLATFORM
MAY 2015 |
Under the theme of ‘Life’, this Platform saw Amrita’s returning choreographers taking completely new approaches in creating their work. Following workshops around dramaturgy and music choice, these pieces see our artists push boundaries in incorporating sound, video-projection and props to enhance their performances.
We would like to thank the Asian Cultural Council whose continued support enabled these workshops and regional connections to take place.

In this piece, the choreographer explores the idea to describe the daily life and activities of Khmer society, through a solo dance piece. It is inspired by a traditional poem called Chuch Noeng Trei (The Trap & The Fish).
